VE Day.

Over 50 million people died in WW2. War is catastrophic, there is never a good side to war. 80 years ago we celebrated peace and freedom in Europe with VE day. Today that peace has become dangerously fragile and democracy and freedom are under threat from an ever-increasing shift towards right wing extremism.

We owe it to the millions who fought for our precious liberty to never let that threat happen again. For the sake of those who gave their lives defending our liberty, we should never forget the spirit of VE day 80 years ago.
